In Toronto, best friends Jennifer “Jen” Wu and Jennifer “Mo” Monteloyola decide to become roommates when Mo's parents move back to the Philippines and Jen takes the opportunity to live independent from her Chinese immigrant parents. They move into a rooming house apartment where they meet housemates eager Lewis and mellow Nate whose new friendship encourages the girls to not give up on the challenges of their newly independent lives. (Developed from the 2014 short comedy film of the same name by the same creators.)
On moving day, tensions arise as Jen has doubts about living away from her family when Mo discovers their stuff was stolen by fake movers. The girls’ remaining couch gets stolen off the front porch when Lewis and Nate can’t figure out how to fit it through the door. And to top it all off: wall squirrels (but the landlord says you get used to them). (Scheduled to premier in October 2016, this pilot episode unexpectedly aired August 28, 2016)
Jen and Mo have to confront their feelings on their romantic relationships when they attend Karen and Harrison's co-ed wedding shower.
Jen and Mo deal with authorities when their change jar is stolen. Marcus tries to install an alarm system for them.
Jen takes a waitressing job where she's forced to wear a skimpy uniform and put up with touchy customers, while Mo attends a sexual harassment seminar where she's the only woman in the group.
Things get complicated as straight-laced Jen tries for once to be bad, and prickly Mo tries to be good.
Jen and Mo navigate the strange world of online dating by finding two cyber dates to go with them to an Escape Room.
